LWD Owner Operator Consortium
has been designed for the Independent Owner Operator who is
required by State and/or Federal Motor Carrier Agencies to join
a consortium for random drug and alcohol testing. If you hold
a Commercial Driver's License and operate a commercial vehicle
as defined below, you are required to
comply. |

|
- Be an Independent Owner Operator
- Have a current Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Have no unresolved violations under D.O.T.'s Drug and
Alcohol Regulations 49 CFR Part 382 & 40
- Operate a commercial motor vehicle or combination of
motor vehicles used in commerce to transport passengers
or property in the motor vehicle:

Has a gross combination weight rating
of 26,001 or more pounds inclusive of a towed unit
with a gross vehicle weight rating of more than
10,000 pounds; or |

| 2. |
Has gross vehicle weight rating of 26,001 or more
pounds. |

|
|
- Drug & Alcohol Enrollment Kit (includes overview
of D.O.T. Drug Testing regulations, policy, chain of custody
forms, Enrollment Certificate wallet size Consortium
ID and more).
- Free extra copy of Enrollment Certificate for Broker
or Employer
- Semi-Annual & Annual Statistical Reports Required
by CHP/BIT Inspector and D.O.T. Auditors
- All Random Drug and Alcohol Tests for calendar year.
(There is no charge each time you are selected for a random
test. Under a random program, you may be tested once,
none, or four times in one calendar year.) Your LWD enrollment
fee covers ALL of your random test fees.
- A laboratory certified by the Substance Abuse and Mental
Health Services Administration as required by the D.O.T.
regulations.
- A Medical Review Officer as required by the D.O.T. regulations.
- Conveniently located collection/testing clinic within
a ten (10) mile radius of your home or terminal.
- Compliance and notification of required reports to the
CHP under California Vehicle Codes Sec. 2 Section 34501,
and Sec. 3 Section 34520
