RediCup Testing Procedure
The RediCup device is easy to use — six simple steps from specimen collection to reading your results in 5 minutes.
Collect specimen
Collect the urine specimen directly into the RediCup test cup.
Secure lid
Screw the cap on tightly to ensure an adequate seal.
Invert the cup
Quickly invert the cup and place it on a flat surface for approximately 30 seconds.
Stand upright
Stand the cup upright on a flat surface. If no sample wicking is seen at the 1-minute read time, repeat steps 3 and 4.
Read results at 5 minutes
Read the result lines at 5 minutes. Note: all positive results are presumptive and should be confirmed by an alternative method (e.g., GC/MS).
Send for confirmation if positive
If the test is positive, apply the security seal and agency label with the test(s) requested, and send the cup and its contents to the laboratory for confirmation.
